Creepy looking dolls in pretty dresses. I make eye contact with Nora and she raises her eyebrows and nods as if to say "yes this really is happening". From the service lift Stan produces a beautiful chocolate cake and begins to cut 7 slices and place them on to saucers. As we are all chained to the brick walls, we can't feed ourselves so Stan approaches each one of us feeding us the cake slowly asking after each bite: "Is that good? Do you like that? You like it don't you? " He takes around 20 minutes to feed us all but then in between he fakes feeding the dolls aswell, asking them the same questions. There is something so unnerving seeing a man in his 50s who lives with his elderly mother pretend feeding his little dollies. Stan assured us he was going to be back in a few weeks - he was going to America to check on my lookalike's progress transitioning into me and would have some footage to show us when he returned. I said I didn't want to see it. "You have no choice" he smiled. He disappeared up the stairs after scooping up his dolls and shouted from the door "I'll leave you in Mother's capable hands whilst I'm gone! "
Hi, I recently designed a floss pick for my startup and need help 3D printing the design to help validate it (by testing it on myself). I want to do some rapid prototyping here in the US so I can speed up the process. My designer advised that I get the 3D design printed from Xometry or Protolabs with SLA process and PP material (since most floss picks are manufactured with PP). These sites are quoting me roughly $50-$130 per piece, pretty darn expensive. I searched around and found other websites offering 3D printing services for WAY cheaper, and wondering, what's the catch? I'm honestly a little confused as I've never done this before and was hoping someone can guide me here. For example, on Xometry, I see so many options like Resolution (High vs Standard), 2 types of PP material, threads, inserts, etc. charging around $50 for my design in high resolution. Protolabs is charging me around $130. I really don't know what I'm paying for or if there is a quality difference. I just need a PP material prototype in my hand that I can validate.
Don't overlook the possibilities of the Small Business Investment Companies in your area. Look them up in your telephone book under "Investment Services. " These companies exist for the sole purpose of lending money to businesses which they feel have a good chance of making money. In many instances, they trade their help for a small interest in your company. Many states have Business Development Commissions whose goal is to assist in the establishment and growth of new businesses. Not only do they offer favorable taxes and business expertise, most also offer money or facilities to help a new business get started. Your Chamber of Commerce is the place to check for further information on this idea. Industrial banks are usually much more amenable to making business loans than regular banks, so be sure to check out these institutions in your area. Insurance companies are prime sources of long term business capital, but each company varies its policies regarding the type of business it will consider.
Here, that's 10 percent, so you can receive $9, 000, which is the $10, 000 total minus $1, 000. This rule applies in Rhode Island no matter how much of the fault is assigned to you. For instance, if you were found to be 99 percent at fault in the example above, technically you would still be allowed to collect 1 percent of the damages award, or $100. "Strict" Liability for Dog Bite/Attack Cases In many states, dog owners are protected (to some degree) from injury liability the first time their dog injures someone if they had no reason to believe the dog was dangerous. This is often called a "one bite" rule. In Rhode Island however, a specific statute ( R. I. Gen. Laws § 4-13-16) makes the owner "strictly liable", meaning regardless of the animal's past behavior, the dog owner is responsible for a personal injury caused by his/her dog. Specifically, the statute reads: [If any dog] "assaults, bites, or otherwise injures any person while traveling the highway or out of the enclosure of the owner or keeper of that dog, the owner or keeper of the dog shall be liable to the person aggrieved, for all damage sustained, to be recovered in a civil action, with costs of suit.
